Flex-A-Tee

A stylish and convenient post-surgery clothing option

One of the downsides of breast surgery is the limitation it places on clothing options, especially in the early stages of recovery. This is where a new product, Flex-A-Tee®️, steps in with a range of stylish tees suitable for patients immediately post-operative.

The t-shirt uses press studs across both shoulders and down the sleeves; the neckline opens fully and the wearer can dress without raising their arms. The tee can be brought down over the shoulders or up over the hips.

Designed in Australia, by Anne Marie Jonas, the initial idea was to help dress her Mum who had Alzheimer’s. Since the original idea in 2018 Flex-A-Tee has evolved. It became apparent there were many people the design could help; including, but not limited to: those suffering dementia, Parkinson’s, during Chemotherapy, the ability to change the tee without dislodging a cannula, Multiple Sclerosis, Cerebral Palsy, within the general care community, after a stroke, shoulder or breast surgery, and for people with limited shoulder range of movement. As people see the Flex-A-Tee the list grows: arthritis, autism, and breastfeeding.

How does Flex-A-Tee work?

The ease of access into the Flex-A-Tee is made possible by hidden press studs located across both shoulders.

Simply undo as few, or as many, press studs as required to make the neckline larger; large enough, in most cases, to bring the Flex-A-Tee down over the shoulders or up over the hips – removing the need for the wearer to lift theIr arms.

Using Flex-A-Tee

The Flex-A-Tee design is reversible – the press stud opening can face to the front or the back.

There is no right or wrong way to put the Flex-A-Tee on, or take it off. That’s what makes it so flexible.

Flex-A-Tee is made of a high quality 100% soft cotton jersey fabric, available in two styles –  regular and long, sizes small to XXL and currently in two colours – black and natural.
