Low-level light therapy (LLLT) with Healite II is the therapeutic use of light emitting diode (LED) light to enhance your body’s natural cellular recovery, improving healing times, relieving pain, active acne, skin rejuvenation and more. This non-invasive, no downtime and no discomfort treatment delivers concentrated energy deep within the tissue affecting your body at a cellular level – on all skin types.
Healite II can be used as a standalone treatment or as adjunctive enhancement of recovery from most procedures.
What is LED therapy?
The healing power of light has been used for thousands of years, and light-based therapies have been proven to treat a range of skin conditions and concerns, as well as promote faster healing and improving the results of cosmetic treatments.
For the most common cosmetic indications, light-based treatments can be broadly categorised as intense pulsed light (IPL) therapy, light-emitting diode (LED) therapy and laser therapies.
LED therapy delivers light at certain wavelengths to stimulate cellular activity in the dermis and increase blood flow, stimulating collagen in the dermis and promoting an anti-ageing, rejuvenating effect from within. LED treatment is often recommended before and after surgery, as well as a standalone skin revitalisation treatment.
How does Healite II work?
Healite II uses low-level light therapy with LEDs to soothe and target deep into the skin cells, heightening their internal functions.
Healite II bio-stimulates the skin at subcellular, cellular and tissue levels to help existing cells work better, repair damaged ones and stimulate collagen production.
As well as skin rejuvenation to address lines and wrinkles and other signs of photo-ageing, it is well recognised for its ability to improve wound and soft tissue healing and reduce inflammation as well as treat acne, chronic pain such as arthritis, muscle spasm, superficial skin lesions and more.
Healite II treatment has no pain, no downtime, and no side effects, meaning you can resume your daily activities straight away!
Which wavelength is right for me?
Certain light wavelengths are used to cause different reactions in the skin. For example, near-infrared light deeply penetrates the dermis and stimulates blood flow and collagen rebuilding in the skin’s deeper layers. Red light is responsible for reducing inflammation and promoting cellular repair.
Blue light, which is a shorter wavelength, doesn’t penetrate as deeply and is used for its anti-microbial effect, inhibiting the growth of acne-causing bacteria.
Healite II has three available treatment heads with different wavelengths. Your practitioner will advise which one is right for you:
Near-infrared light 830nm with yellow light 590nm photosequencing:

- Pain relief
- Muscle and joint pain
